Job summary

turn IT on is seeking a Junior ICT Consultant to join our Reading team. You will maintain IT hardware and services across school sites and help raise ICT provisions to support teaching and learning.

You will install and repair computers, manage software, support users and communicate with schools to keep services up to date. The role requires at least 2 years' experience, strong customer service and a proactive approach; salary is £24,000–£27,000.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in ICT Technician/2nd line support, preferably in the education sector.
• Strong communication and organisational skills and a passion for giving excellent customer service.
• Ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms to customers.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a team-player mindset.
• Able to work independently and improve services.

Responsibilities

• Resolve and manage technical issues impacting school operations with robust solutions.
• Install or repair computers with standardised applications and networking software; diagnose and fix issues.
• Provide desktop support across devices (desktops, iPads, printers, phones, projectors, AV equipment) and manage network services.
