Job summary

Business & Accountancy Assist (BAA) in Birmingham is offering an Accounts apprenticeship (level 2) starting 1 October 2026. You will learn on-the-job, assisting the accountants with junior tasks and basic bookkeeping, within a supportive team.

The programme includes specialist training at P.T.P. TRAINING LIMITED, with hours 37 hours 30 minutes per week, Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30, and a wage of £15,600 for the first year.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Responsibilities

• Assist accountants with junior accounting tasks.
• Carry out basic bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledgers.
• Perform data entry and simple calculations.
• Handle routine accounting tasks and use standard tools.
• Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results.
