Job summary

HKA Global in the United Kingdom is offering a Level 2 Accounting Apprenticeship in partnership with Kaplan. As an Accounts Assistant apprentice, you will work with the finance team on day-to-day tasks and study toward a recognised accounting qualification.

This one-year-3-month placement starts on 31 August 2026 at Daresbury Park, Cheshire, and blends on-the-job learning with training to build solid bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, and financial controls while developing professional skills

Qualifications

• GCSEs required in English and Maths.
• Strong numeracy, IT and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Learn on the job across key finance functions and systems.
• Input supplier invoices and learn Accounts Payable processes.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable activities as required.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and monthly closings.
• Support preparation of monthly management accounts and data for audits.
