Junior Field Service Engineer

Location and Salary

Ideally based in the Midlands Area

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Candidate Profile

Solid academic background in mechatronics, technology, or electrics, preferably with an apprenticeship in the industrial sector. Short experience (1-2 years) in various industrial sectors, ideally Robotics and/or CNC automation. Availability to travel extensively, including outside the UK, for training. Highly considered qualifications include NVQ technological subjects and HNC.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism on site
• Advising help desk on breakdown issues
• Supporting the business with technical and sales support
• Commissioning, training, and installation of equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Understanding and demonstrating CNC equipment functionality
• Documenting procedures and technical activities
• Supporting site surveys, customer training, and technical troubleshooting
• Understanding electrical and mechanical drawings
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting onsite issues
• Ensuring work is completed to high standards within deadlines
• Preparing and submitting paperwork, including timesheets and expenses
