Job summary

Eaton's Aerospace division in Wimborne, Dorset, seeks a junior Software Engineer to design and support embedded C software for Air to Air Refuelling pods, under the Avionics Software Development Team. You will work to RTCA DO 178B/C standards, contribute to documentation, and grow into broader responsibilities.

You'll collaborate across teams, apply MBSE principles, and develop your skills across requirements, design, verification, and build tooling in a structured, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
• Experience with embedded software and MBSE is beneficial.
• Good communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded C software for AAR pods.
• Use lifecycle tools: configuration, requirements, design, testing.
• Ensure compliance with RTCA DO 178B/C and engineering processes.
• Present engineering material to varied audiences.
