Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Birmingham is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support electrical building services design across healthcare, commercial and education sectors. You will work with experienced engineers to learn from concept through to delivery, gaining exposure to power, lighting, design calculations and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical building services; not a graduate position.
• Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Building Services engineering.
• Some experience designing electrical systems and reports.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design of electrical building services systems including power, lighting and small power.
• Assisting with electrical design calculations and technical reports.
• Supporting the preparation of specifications and tender documentation.
• Coordinating designs with mechanical, sustainability and BIM teams.
• Attending design team meetings, client meetings and site visits.
• Supporting projects through the different RIBA stages.
• Contributing to energy-efficient and low-carbon design solutions.
• Working across sectors including healthcare, commercial, education and residential.
