Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom (Wales, Cardiff) is seeking an ecologist to work both independently and in teams, delivering ecological assessments and habitat design for development and nature recovery projects. You will contribute to innovative mitigation approaches, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders, and produce high-quality reports in line with current guidance.
A passion for ecology and familiarity with Biodiversity Net Gain are desirable.
Qualifications
- Passion for ecology and environment.
- Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain legislation and methods.
- Ability to write clear ecological reports.
- Experience with GIS and geospatial tools is a plus.
- Awareness of protected species surveys and licensing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological assessments and habitat design for development projects.
- Develop innovative ecological mitigation and compensation approaches.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage clients/stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality ecological deliverables aligned with current guidelines.
- Support flexible, hybrid working and timely reporting.
