Job summary

Ben Sherman in Leeds is seeking a Junior Designer to help generate new ideas and designs, taking research through sketches and tech packs under the Brand Director. You will collaborate with designers, buyers and tech teams to develop and launch products while providing essential admin support to the department.

You will contribute to trend research, color palette creation, and preparation of design packs. The role involves coordinating samples, fittings, and maintaining Pantone/BROS systems as

Qualifications

Experience supporting design development from research to tech packs.
Ability to map ideas on range boards and present in reviews.
Self-management of tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Compile competitor and trend research as required through the design process, making evaluations and edits based on what is right for the brand’s DNA.
Map out ideas on range boards for key brands to be used in reviews and presentations
Create digital colour palettes seasonally and select pantone shades with the design team.
Attend design meeting taking notes, contributing ideas and actioning developments where necessary.
Create and update design packs in Illustrator liaising with product development teams.
Update artworks where required.
Review fabric handlooms, colour strike offs with the product teams ready for approval.
