Job summary

SUCCESS TALENT is recruiting for a Junior Designer to join a global sportswear brand in Watford. The role involves researching trends, creating sketches and tech packs, and helping build seasonal ranges with the sales team and Head of Design.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of industry experience and will create mood boards, advise on silhouettes and fabrics, and deliver development samples while keeping meticulous records to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience required.
• Ability to research trends and develop concepts.
• Skilled in creating tech packs and design sketches.
• Able to work with sales and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Research trends and prepare creative research on themes, colours and fabrics.
• Create original design sketches and tech packs.
• Advise on silhouettes, finishes and fabric suitability.
• Create mood boards.
• Attend fit sessions.
• Deliver development samples.
• Create seasonal catalogue content.
• Collaborate with sales and Head of Design to build seasonal ranges.
• Maintain records of designs including style, fabric and print.
• Follow range plans and critical paths to meet deadlines.
• Attend customer meetings and work on SMU design briefs.
