Job summary

Advanced Resourcing Ltd in the West Midlands area is recruiting a Junior Design Engineer to convert customer build specs into engineering inputs and produce drawings for production.

You will work with engineers, production and quality teams, using AutoCAD, Inventor and Radan to support LV switchgear and enclosures while pursuing long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Basic CAD/drawing interpretation experience.
• Understanding that specifications and approvals matter.
• Methodical approach to checking and recording information.
• Willingness to learn LV switchgear, enclosures, busbar and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer build specifications, SLDs, drawings and order details into clear engineering inputs.
• Identify gaps, assumptions, exclusions and decision points before committing engineering or commercial position.
• Create enclosure arrangements that suit the electrical circuit, device layout, ratings, access and manufacturing method.
• Produce drawings, models, BOMs, schedules and instructions for accurate build by production.
• Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Radan Draft and Radan CAD / CAM appropriately for controlled outputs.
• Resolve production queries and design issues with practical, timely and commercially aware responses.

Due to continued growth, our client is currently recruiting for Junior Design Engineer to join their growing workforce.

What you will be working towards:

• Convert customer build specifications, SLDs, drawings and order details into clear engineering inputs
• Identify gaps, assumptions, exclusions and decision points before committing engineering or commercial position
• Create enclosure arrangements that suit the electrical circuit, device layout, ratings, access and manufacturing method
• Produce drawings, models, BOMs, schedules and instructions for accurate build by production
• Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Radan Draft and Radan CAD / CAM appropriately for controlled outputs
• Resolve production queries and design issues with practical, timely and commercially aware responses
• Develop knowledge, judgement, behaviours and evidence in line with professional engineering expectation

The candidate we are looking for will have experience in:

• Basic CAD, drawing interpretation or technical documentation experience
• Understanding of why specifications, revisions and approvals matter
• Methodical approach to checking and recording information
• Willingness to learn LV switchgear, enclosures, busbar and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work with engineers, production and quality teams

Working Hours:

07:30 – 16:00 Monday to Friday

Salary:

£30,000 - £32,000
