Advanced Resourcing Ltd in the West Midlands is seeking an Engineering Designer to convert customer build specifications, drawings and order details into clear engineering inputs for production. You will identify gaps, define enclosure layouts and develop electrical arrangements to support manufacturing methods.

The role requires CAD experience and collaboration with production, quality and project teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor and Radan is essential; salary £35,000–£40,000, permanent

Qualifications

• CAD/drawing experience with awareness of manufacturing constraints.
• Able to spot gaps in specifications and drawing risks.
• Understands revision control, checking and evidence capture.
• Comfortable working with production, quality and project stakeholders.
• Willing to learn standards, checklists and compliance boundaries.

Responsabilités

• Convert customer build specifications into engineering inputs.
• Identify gaps, exclusions and decision points before commitments.
• Create enclosure layouts for electrical circuits and manufacturing methods.
• Develop busbar, neutral and earth arrangements.
• Produce drawings, models, BOMs, schedules and instructions for production.
• Use ATLAS and related automation to generate outputs.
• Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Radan Draft and Radan CAD/CAM for controlled outputs.
• Resolve design issues with timely, commercially aware responses.
• Manage changes, deviations, approvals and communications across stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge, judgement, and professional engineering behaviour.
