Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Corporate Communications Assistant in Dartford to support the Corporate Affairs team across social media, digital communications, PR, internal comms, content creation, events and brand. This is an entry‑level role offering hands‑on experience across the full communications mix.

You'll work alongside an experienced team and gain exposure to high‑profile clients and agencies while developing plans and campaigns as your confidence grows.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations or a related discipline.
• GCSE English at grade A*-C, or equivalent, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support social media management and analyse channel performance.
• Update digital channels, including websites and intranet.
• Carry out simple photo/video edits and manage media libraries.
• Assist with events from employee briefings to major milestones and media visits.
• Support PR and media relations, monitor coverage and media enquiries.
• Assist internal communications campaigns across the organisation.
• Develop and deliver communications plans as confidence grows.
• Provide day-to-day coordination and admin support to the Corporate Affairs team.
