Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Communications Manager to join our UK team in Dartford. This hands-on role involves regular travel to project sites across the UK to connect with our people and showcase our work.

You will shape internal communications, develop engaging content, support leadership events and manage external partners while delivering clear messages to diverse audiences. The role requires strong writing and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to craft engaging internal and external content including video.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape meaningful communications and engagement.
• Develop internal materials such as announcements, newsletters and campaigns.
• Support leadership engagement events and external media content.
• Create content for owned channels and evaluate communication effectiveness.
• Manage agencies and external providers when required.
• Travel to project sites across the UK, including overnight stays.
