Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer for a strong training-forward role with OEM and in-house training to become a Controls Product Expert. The position offers a solid salary band and clear progression paths within a collaborative team environment.

Based in the workshop, you will develop fault-finding and PLC programming skills on Siemens and custom systems, with regular training and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Aspiring Controls Engineer with an electrical background and willingness to train toward a product expert.
• Interest in bespoke PLC systems and in-house OEM training.
• Motivation to develop fault-finding and diagnostics skills on modern controls.

Responsibilities

• Workshop based fault finding, diagnostics and part programming of bespoke PLC systems such as Siemens and custom systems.
• Adhere to shift pattern: 7:45am–5:00pm Mon–Thu, 8:30am–12:30pm Fri.
• Engage in extensive technical training and progression toward a Product Expert role.

Workshop based, Commutable from Taunton, Tiverton, Wellington, Chard, Exeter, Bampton and surrounding areas

Are you an aspiring Controls Engineer from an Electrical Engineering background looking to become a Controls Product Expert through in-house training and OEM Training in Los Angeles, all whilst retaining a great work-life balance?

This is a once in a career opportunity to work as part of a very close team of experts, on a highly interesting product range whilst receiving technical training, career progression all paired with a great work life balance.

This company have been established for over 4 decades and close to 100 employees, due to retirement they are now looking for an aspiring engineer looking to further their career.

This role will suit an Aspiring Controls Engineer from an Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer or similar background looking to become a Controls Product Expert through bespoke in house training and OEM Training in Los Angeles all whilst retaining a great work life balance with rare trips across the year.

The Role:

• Workshop based fault finding, providing diagnostics and part programming bespoke PLC Systems such as Siemens and custom systems.
• 7.45am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am - 12.30pm on Fridays
• Lots of Technical Training and Career Progression to Product Expert

The Person:

• Previous Electrical Experience
• Looking to get into a career in Controls Engineering
