We are seeking a full-time Junior Clinical Fellow (at CT1+) level in Genitourinary Medicine at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Integrated Sexual Health Service.
Successful candidates will receive excellent training and educational opportunities tailored to individual needs. The core responsibilities include working in integrated sexual health clinics, with potential experience in HIV clinics and/or LARC clinics depending on experience.
The service offers an active educational program, and post holders will be encouraged to participate.
Conducting regular integrated sexual clinics, handling a variety of STI and reproductive health cases. Depending on experience and interest, exposure to HIV clinics and LARC clinics may be available. Involvement in inpatient HIV care and reviewing sexual health referrals from other inpatient specialties is also expected.
Participation in HIV and Sexual health MDTs and involvement in postgraduate and undergraduate training and education within the department.
The service manages approximately 35,000 patients annually across main hubs at City Hospital and Victoria Health Centre, along with over 20 community sites. The HIV service specifically cares for around 1,200 patients at City Hospital.
ISHS provides comprehensive contraceptive and STI services, including complex implant and coil removals, level 3 STI care, and health promotion activities. There are specialist clinics for genital dermatology, recurrent infections, complex contraception, and PrEP. The service is co-located with HIV and psychosexual medicine services and has an active research profile, including a weekly research clinic and participation in national and international trials.
