Emergency Medicine Doctor Opportunity at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Are you seeking a career in Emergency Medicine within a large UK teaching hospital with a Major Trauma Centre? The Emergency Department at Nottingham University Hospitals’ NHS Trust offers exciting opportunities for motivated doctors to join our friendly team from 6th August 2025 for 12 months.

You will work in a forward-thinking, dynamic department committed to staff development and outstanding healthcare outcomes. Depending on your experience and interview performance, you may be offered a Junior Fellow role on our Tier 3 rota (CT3 level), which requires partial MRCEM, or a Senior Fellow role at Tier 4 (registrar level), which requires full MRCEM and relevant ED experience. There are progression opportunities from Tier 3 to Tier 4 roles after successful reviews.

Please note, you must be available to start on 6th August to align with our Resident doctor rotation, including a mandatory induction on 7th August.

Working in our ED involves managing the shop floor, adhering to the four-hour target, and constantly reprioritising tasks. You will be supported in developing your portfolio evidence through competencies, working under the clinical direction of EM Consultants who are present 24/7. All Fellows will have a monthly teaching day, educational development time, and will be allocated an Educational and Clinical supervisor.
