Farrans (Construction) Limited is seeking a Civil Engineering Junior Estimator to join the Pre-Contract team. You will prepare independent estimates for major civil projects across the UK and Ireland, coordinating with bid managers and clients to maximise success on £10m–£50m schemes.

The role involves data analysis, cost engineering, priceing of BoQs, and liaison with supply chain partners. A driving license and site-estimating experience are desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Honours degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• HND/HNC with proven estimating track record in civil engineering.
• Full Driving License.
• Site experience or established civils estimator with 2 years in civils estimating.
• Knowledge of Estimating Software (Conquest/Candy).
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Aufgaben

• Coordinate with bid management to schedule timing of estimates (enquiries, pricing, adjudication).
• Examine tender docs for completeness and review contract changes.
• Prepare and issue enquiry documents to material and sub-contractor providers.
• Attend pre-construction and site visits.
• Extract or develop Bill of Quantities from drawings/tenders.
• Source and price items in the BoQ and evaluate quotations.
• Lead Tender Adjudication with reports and presentations.
• Complete tender documents for submission with Line Manager.
