Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join Luckenbooths, our vibrant Edinburgh brasserie near the Royal Mile. You’ll work alongside senior chefs, prep ingredients, and help keep the kitchen clean and efficient during busy services.

We welcome individuals passionate about cooking, with a willingness to learn and a strong eye for hygiene and teamwork. A supportive training environment and flexible working arrangements are on offer at our iconic city centre hotel.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in cooking and willingness to learn in a professional kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail, especially cleanliness and food safety.
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to take direction and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients for dishes and stations.
• Work with senior chefs and learn essential cooking techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation and uphold hygiene standards.
• Help manage kitchen inventory and monitor stock levels.
• Take on basic cooking tasks: sauces, grilling, frying, plating.
• Participate in regular cleaning duties to keep equipment clean.
• Learn quickly and contribute to an organised kitchen team.
