About the role

As a Junior Buyer in this area, you will be a highly motivated individual who uses their knowledge to plan and buy the best ranges for our customers within the wider Fashion category. Your responsibilities include delivering KPIs such as sales, profit, stock, margin, and customer metrics. You will analyze market trends and commercial input to develop own-brand and branded ranges that provide a competitive advantage.

Salary

£32,600.00 - £50,500.00

Contract type

Roles available in Womenswear Permanent and Fixed Term 12 months in Direct to Customer Fashion.

Working pattern/flexible working

The Partnership adopts a hybrid working approach, allowing a mix of office and home-based work based on personal needs and business requirements. Typically, 2-3 days a week in the office, including Wednesdays and Thursdays, with additional ad-hoc meetings.

Location

This role is based at our Pimlico Head Office.

Key responsibilities
  1. Work with your Merchandiser to analyze commercial and market data to develop appealing category assortments for John Lewis & Partners customers.
  2. Monitor Partner NPS and customer satisfaction metrics to assess the impact of assortment decisions and drive sales growth through effective planning and promotions.
  3. Collaborate with Marketing, Online, and Store Design teams to deliver a compelling brand portfolio.
  4. Make decisions on product assortment, development, sourcing, brand positioning, pricing, and margins aligned with category and customer strategies.
  5. Collaborate with merchandising on season trading, volume decisions, commercial terms, and product lifecycle management with suppliers.
