Job summary

ASL, a market leading, award-winning engineering company in the Aylesbury region, is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer. The role offers a salary around 33k-38k depending on experience and a strong benefits package including annual bonus and pension.

You will gain exposure to procurement processes within engineering/manufacturing, manage purchase orders, provider communications, and import/export documentation as part of a small, forward-thinking team.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, procurement and purchasing.
• CIPS Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and SAP or similar.
• Knowledge of imports/exports, freight, customs clearance beneficial.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Procurement experience in engineering/manufacturing/technical industries.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order processing - Raise, manage and process purchase orders for goods and services accurately.
• Buying, purchasing, pricing and checking availability.
• Invoice and GRPO support.
• Import export documentation.
• Supplier communication- quotations, order progress, deliveries, pricing queries, availability issues.
