Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer will place purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels of top-selling devices. They will source and negotiate the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at optimal costs. Resolving discrepancies promptly at each stage of the order cycle is crucial to meet delivery commitments and minimize inventory costs.

What the role involves:

• Placing daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensuring paperwork and credit lines are in place for high-value or customer-specific products
• Reviewing and authorizing customer order changes and cancellations
• Managing supplier purchase orders and reschedules
• Resolving order price discrepancies
• Addressing receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Being the first contact for production line down issues
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Do you have:

• Previous purchasing experience (preferable but not essential)
• Organizational and prioritization skills with a proactive approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to identify and address process flaws
• Performance under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Flexibility and adaptability to different needs and markets
