Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels of top-selling devices. The role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at the right cost, and resolving discrepancies promptly to meet delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensure necessary paperwork and credit lines are in place for high-value or customer-specific products
• Review and process customer order changes and cancellations
• Manage supplier purchase orders, reschedules, or cancellations via IMS
• Resolve order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Address receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Serve as the first point of contact for production line issues
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Requirements:

• Previous purchasing experience is preferred but not essential
