The Role

We are seeking a Junior Buyer with some experience in indirect procurement, preferably within automotive or manufacturing sectors. You should be enthusiastic, capable, and skilled in building internal and supplier relationships, with a focus on quality, lead times, and cost management.

This position offers an opportunity for a motivated junior buyer to develop into a fully-fledged Indirect Buyer.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Purchase indirect goods and services aligning with cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Prepare and communicate RFQs to suppliers
• Process purchase requisitions and release purchase orders
• Negotiate supplier quotes and terms
• Support procurement team and other departments, communicating supply chain issues
• Maintain material management records for recurring IDM items
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring professional communication
• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders to resolve procurement issues
• Evaluate supplier performance and potential
• Update and manage procurement databases and records
• Perform general procurement administration and housekeeping

Candidate Requirements:

• Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
• Negotiation skills and commercial awareness
• Effective time management and prioritization abilities
• Experience in indirect procurement within automotive or manufacturing environments is desirable
