Job Outline:
The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels on top-selling devices. The role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at optimal costs, and resolving discrepancies quickly to meet customer delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensure necessary paperwork and credit lines are in place for high-value or customer-specific products
• Review and process customer order changes and cancellations
• Manage supplier purchase orders and reschedules via IMS
• Resolve order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Address receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Act as the first contact for resolving production line issues
• Collaborate with sales, product marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous purchasing experience is preferable but not essential
• Organized, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to identify and address process flaws proactively
• Capable of performing under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable to different needs and situations
