Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels on top-selling devices. This role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at the right cost, and resolving discrepancies quickly to meet customer delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

What the role involves:

• Placing daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensuring paperwork and customer credit lines are in place for high-value or customer-specific products
• Reviewing and authorizing customer order changes and cancellations
• Managing supplier purchase orders and reschedules through IMS
• Resolving order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Addressing receiving discrepancies with the distribution center and product marketing
• Being the first point of contact for production line down resolutions
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Do you have:

• Previous purchasing experience (preferable but not essential)
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a proactive approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to identify and address process flaws proactively
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Flexibility and adaptability to different needs and situations
