Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels of top-selling devices. The role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and resolving discrepancies quickly to meet customer delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place daily purchase orders using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensure necessary paperwork and credit lines are in place for high-value or customer-specific products
• Review and authorize customer order changes and cancellations
• Manage supplier purchase orders and reschedules via IMS
• Resolve order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Address receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Act as the first point of contact for production line issues
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous purchasing experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and proactive skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to identify process flaws and implement improvements
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
