Job summary

ASI Recruitment in Byfleet is seeking a Junior Prepper, Painter or MET Technician to join a small, friendly, manufacturer-approved bodyshop.

The role offers a £30,000-£40,000 basic salary depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime available and no weekend work. Training and development will help you grow your skills in prep, paint and MET work.

Qualifications

• Some experience or practical ability in prep, paint and/or MET.
• Genuine interest in vehicle body repair.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Works well within a small team.
• Bodyshop experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Working within a relaxed, supportive environment, you'll be involved in preparing and repairing vehicles, depending on your existing skillset and experience.
• The bodyshop handles around 5-10 vehicles per week, so this is not a high-volume, pressure-driven environment.
• The client is open-minded about your background and is happy to consider candidates with different combinations of relevant skills.

Junior Prepper/Painter/MET Technician

Byfleet | £30,000-£40,000 DOE | Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

A great opportunity to join a small, friendly, manufacturer-approved dealer bodyshop in the Byfleet area.

The business currently has just two technical staff and is looking for a Prepper, Painter or MET Technician to join the team.

This role would suit someone with some existing experience in preparation, paint or MET work, but full bodyshop experience is not essential.

The client is particularly keen to find someone with a good attitude, some practical skills and a genuine willingness to learn. They are happy to train the right person and would ideally like to bring someone into the business who they can develop over time.

The Role

The bodyshop handles around 5-10 vehicles per week, so this is not a high-volume, pressure-driven environment.
