Job summary

Logic 360 Ltd in Corby is seeking an experienced Vehicle Prepper to join our workshop team. You will prepare vehicles to the highest standard under supervision, supporting the bodyshop and other departments as required.

The ideal candidate has prior Prepper/bodyshop experience, a full UK driving licence (manual and automatic), and the ability to work 14:00–22:00 on weekdays. This is a temporary role with a Monday-to-Friday pattern.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Prepper.
• Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (essential).
• Over 21 years old and minimum 2 years driving licence for insurance (essential).
• Willing to support junior techs and share expertise when needed.
• Pride in work and high standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, and priming panels.
• Ensuring there are no defects on prepared panels.
• Working on a range of vehicles from small cars to light commercial vehicles.
• Adhering to standards and processes to produce a high-quality product cost-effectively.
• Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required.

Main Duties and

The Role

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced workshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Workshop Manager. We’re looking for experienced Automotive Vehicle Prepper from all kinds of Automotive backgrounds. You will be an integral part of our team as a Vehicle Prepper Bodyshop operative working on all types of makes and models of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing vehicles for paint this will include masking, sanding down and priming panels.
• Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
• Working on range of vehicles from small family cars to light commercial vehicles.
• To work within standards and processes laid down by paint and dry goods companies to ensure that a high-quality cost-effective product is produced.
• Supporting bodyshop team within other departments if required.
• To check all work prior to starting to ensure that it has been repaired to the required standard.
• To ensure that all parts requisitions are completed accurately.
• To ensure all work is completed within the time allotted.
• To work efficiently to ensure, targets are met.
• To develop and maintain professional and positive working relationships with colleagues.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Prepper.
• Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (essential).
• For the insurance purpose you need to be over 21 years old and hold a driving licence for minimum 2 years (essential)
• Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
• You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers.
• You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required.
• Excellent attention to detail
