Job summary

Kinly is seeking a Junior AV Technician to support government sector projects nationwide from Sunbury. You will install and maintain AV equipment, assist with presentations in Law Courts, and travel across England and Wales. The role requires a valid UK driving licence, client-facing skills, and willingness to work extended hours including weekends.

You will join a collaborative team, handle equipment movement, and ensure security practices while supporting Kinly’s judicial sector deployments.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of short-term AV solutions including video and audio setup.
• Knowledge of IT, Microsoft Office and both Apple and Windows operating systems.
• UK driving licence is essential and national travel is required.
• Experience in a warehouse environment and handling equipment.
• Good awareness of Health and Safety and safe working practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining Audio Visual equipment.
• Electrical Safety (PAT) testing of all Hire electrical equipment.
• Testing and upkeep of current stock.
• Maintaining an up-to-date record of all Sunbury based Kinly hire equipment on the internal asset management system.
• Maintaining consumable stock levels for Government hire.
• Securely wiping all Government Hire PCs of sensitive data on return from site and ensuring they are updated with relevant software and security patches.
• Delivery and collection of equipment to client venues, primarily Crown Courts.
• Installing, de-rigging AV requirements to enable presentation of evidence in Law Courts.
• Working with Clients to ensure they receive excellent service.
• Liaising with Clients and the office to ensure smooth running of the events.
• Providing cover for on-site Government Hire installation engineers.
