Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join a leading Audio Visual and Home Automation Integrator serving high-end residential and commercial properties in London and the Home Counties.

No previous AV experience is required as full training will be provided. You will install structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and smart home systems while developing skills in Control4, Lutron, and AV installations.

Qualifications

• 1st Fix and 2nd Fix installation experience.
• CAT5e/CAT6 cabling experience and fibre awareness.
• RJ45 termination skills and testing.
• Electrical installation knowledge relevant to AV systems.
• CCTV/Access Control knowledge is a plus.
• Strong practical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Installing structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, fibre) across sites.
• Cable pulling, containment, termination and testing.
• RJ45 terminations and networking infrastructure setup.
• Patch panel installation and dressing.
• Smart Home and home automation installations.
• Multi-room audio and video distribution systems.
• Home cinema installations and related AV works.
• CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry system work.
• Assisting with Control4 and Lutron installations.
• Supporting commissioning and system integration projects.
