Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Senior AV Installation Engineer to lead commercial AV installation projects from first fix through to handover, across the UK, ensuring installations meet the highest standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with project managers and technical designers, maintain records, and contribute to service and remedial works. A UK driving licence and SSSTS are preferred; salary £45,000-£50,000 with pension and company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Significant experience installing commercial AV systems.
• Strong understanding of AV signal flow and integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

• A full UK driving licence.
• SSSTS certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on customer sites across the UK.
• Deliver structured cabling, rack builds, equipment installation and system integration.
• Test, fault-find and commission AV systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical designers to ensure exact delivery.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors and site teams.
• Maintain installation records and quality documentation.
• Perform site quality checks and ensure standards compliance.
• Coach and develop junior engineers and apprentices.
• Support service, maintenance and remedial works when required.

Senior AV Installation Engineer

£45,000 to £50,000 per annum

Location: London (surrounding areas)

If you're the engineer everyone turns to when an installation gets complicated, a system won't commission, or a project needs bringing back on track, this could be the role you've been looking for.

We're seeking an experienced AV professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional installations, mentoring others, and representing a business professionally on-site. This isn't a role for someone who wants to be told what to do every day. It's for someone who wants ownership.

Key Responsibilities

You'll take the lead on commercial AV installation projects from first fix through to final handover, ensuring every system is installed, tested, commissioned and delivered to the highest standard.

• Lead installation teams on customer sites across the UK
• Deliver structured cabling, rack builds, equipment installation and system integration
• Test, fault‑find and commission AV systems
• Work closely with project managers and technical designers to ensure projects are delivered exactly as specified
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors and site teams
• Maintain accurate installation records and quality documentation
• Conduct site quality checks and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Support, coach and develop junior engineers and apprentices
• Contribute to service, maintenance and remedial works when required
