Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is assisting a leading residential smart home specialist in recruiting an Audio Visual Programming & Commissioning Manager for UK projects. You will drive successful programming, testing and commissioning of Control4 and Lutron systems while ensuring premium customer experience and flawless performance before handover.

You will lead projects, supervise installation teams, and coordinate with clients to deliver high-end home automation solutions with excellent quality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming and commissioning Control4 systems.
• Good knowledge of Lutron lighting control systems.
• Experience with high-end residential projects and strong fault-finding abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Role

As Audio Visual Programming & Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the final and most critical stages of residential AV and home automation projects.

Acting as the bridge between installation teams and the client, you'll ensure every system performs flawlessly before handover while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer experience.

• Programming, testing and commissioning Control4 and Lutron systems
• Final system configuration and optimisation across residential projects
• Diagnosing and resolving programming and commissioning issues
• Managing project completion and quality control processes
• Conducting client demonstrations and final handovers
• Supporting installation teams with technical expertise and guidance
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers and customers throughout project delivery
• Ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet company standards before sign-off
• Maintaining detailed commissioning documentation and project records
• Providing a professional and consultative experience for high‑net‑worth clients

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a technically strong AV professional who combines excellent programming skills with the confidence to manage project completion and interact directly with customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Experience

• Strong background within the residential AV and home automation industry
• Proven experience programming and commissioning Control4 systems
• Good knowledge of Lutron lighting control systems
• Experience working on high‑end residential projects
• Excellent fault‑finding and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience leading engineers or managing projects
• Knowledge of networking, audio distribution and smart home ecosystems
• Experience with project handovers and customer training
• Additional home automation platform certifications
