Deluxe in London, United Kingdom, is seeking a Junior Audio Editor to support our worldwide Audio Services department. You will help deliver high-quality sound tracks for multiple clients, working closely with editorial colleagues and the Audio Services Manager.

The role requires solid experience in audio post-production, strong Pro Tools skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight client deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Shift work may be required after training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in audio post-production.
  • Strong knowledge of film sound technology and post-production workflows.
  • Proficient in Avid Pro Tools and various file formats.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Become part of the audio department alongside editorial team.
  • Assist the Audio Services Manager and department on a daily basis and manage material deliveries via digital platforms.
  • Audio editing duties: tracklaying, clean up and sync, QC, conform to picture cuts.
  • Ensure deliverables meet technical specs and are delivered on time.
  • Ingest, archive, and manage audio data on company systems.
  • Maintain client Excel sheets and trackers; liaise with clients and account managers.
  • Share knowledge and provide support to colleagues; work extended hours when required.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested.

Position Summary

Undertake a variety of duties based in our worldwide Audio Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become an integral part of the audio department alongside other editorial members of the team.
  • Assist the Audio Services Manager and worldwide Audio Services department on a daily basis and be aware of all materials needing to be delivered from the facility via various digital platforms
  • Audio editing duties to support our worldwide Audio Services department including:
    • Tracklaying
    • Clean up and sync
    • Full technical QC's of material before it is despatched to clients
    • Conforming audio to different picture cuts
    • Ensure that all deliverables are complete & delivered on time
    • Make deliverables for all our major clients as requested per technical specs
    • General file management duties
    • Ingest all audio data onto our servers and systems throughout the facility
    • Archive appropriate audio material
    • Follow and comply with client audio checks upon request
  • Other duties include:
    • Maintaining and updating client excel sheets/trackers
    • Liaising with clients, client service representatives and account managers
    • Using internal company admin tools and processes
  • Share knowledge and provide support to colleagues when required.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required to support operational and client deadlines.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the business.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in audio post-production.
  • Good understanding of film sound technology, including post-production processes, Avid Pro Tools, various file formats, and post-production workflows.
  • Previous Audio QC experience with a strong working knowledge of Avid Pro Tools.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding client deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to team objectives.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours
  • Shift work may be required following completion of training.
