Job summary

Deluxe is hiring a Content Mastering Operator for night shifts in Perivale, London. You will prepare source assets, perform QA, and create DCPs for global distribution using industry tools. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work within a 24/7 team to meet tight deadlines.

You will master feature and trailer content, ensure conformance to DCI standards, and produce deliverables for major and indie studios. Full training provided and a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Mastering of feature and trailer DCPs including various formats and resolutions.
• Use of DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Pro Tools and Avid Media Encoder.
• Content review and quality checking across media types.
• Create and distribute ProRes masters and downstream deliverables for global release.
• Check and conform source files for DCP mastering.
• Create censor cuts using editing techniques where needed.
• Validate DCPs and perform quality control on deliverables.
• Maintain records in work order/catalogue systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Troubleshoot issues raised internally and externally regarding DCPs.

Night Shifts: 8.00pm to 8.00am - 4 on, 4 off

Position Summary

The Digital Cinema Mastering Operator is responsible for the preparation of source assets, quality control and creation of deliverables that are distributed around the world. This includes a variety of multimedia formats including Quicktimes and Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) utilising both manual and automated methods of creation. Operators will be using industry standard software such as DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Protools and Media Encoder to provide bespoke services to all major and indie film studios. Elements handled include image, sound and subtitles from various source formats and must be conformed to client specification and DCI standards for theatrical release.

You must be able to work as part of a 24/7 team. Successful candidates should have a keen eye for detail, an interest in working in the film industry and be used to working to tight deadlines whilst producing a high quality work.

All relevant training will be provided to fulfil this role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Mastering of both feature and trailer Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) including Dubbed, Subtitled, 2D, 3D, 2K, 4K and HFR versions
• Use of DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Protools and Avid Media Encoder
• Content review and quality checking a wide variety of materials
• Creation and distribution of short form Prores master files as well as downstream deliverables for global distribution
• Checking and conform of source files in preparation of DCP Mastering
• Creating censor cuts using creative editing techniques
• Validation of DCPs
• Perform quality control checks on all forms of department deliverables
• Perform analysis of information and accurate record keeping in our work order and catalogue systems
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments within the company
• Troubleshoot issues raised internally and externally regarding DCPs
