Job summary

The Bread Factory in Hendon, London is seeking a full-time production baker assistant to join our fast-paced artisan bakery team. You will learn to mix, shape and bake our hand-crafted breads, working closely with experienced bakers to develop new skills and ensure consistent quality across batches.

Hours are 1pm to 10pm, 45 hours per week, with a £12.75 hourly rate. Shifts run Mon–Sun with 5 days out of 7.

Qualifications

• Bakery experience preferred.
• Be reliable and a strong team player.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of following food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with baking our hand-crafted artisan breads.
• Learn to mix, shape and bake high-quality products while developing your skills alongside our experienced baking team.
• Loading and unloading bread from ovens safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure top-quality products.
• Learning to identify when products are baked to perfection.
• Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Keeping your workspace organised and assisting with cleaning routines.
• Working as part of a team to meet production targets.
