Job summary

SRG in Brimsdown, Enfield is seeking an Analytical Entry Level Chemist to join the Production and Final Products laboratory team. The role involves preparing and analysing production samples and supporting refinery operations through timely laboratory testing.

You'll work within a highly regulated environment to maintain product quality, process control, and efficiency. The position is shift-based on 12-hour rotations, offering an initial 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field (minimum HNC qualification considered).
• Experience in analytical laboratory environment preferred.
• Ability to follow established procedures precisely.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with safety and environmental awareness.
• Knowledge of inorganic wet chemistry techniques.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation.
• Awareness of lab and organisational processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse production and final product samples using approved laboratory procedures.
• Complete routine analytical testing to required levels of accuracy and turnaround time.
• Maintain sample integrity throughout the testing process.
• Support critical production control activities through reliable assay results.
• Assist with Evaluation Team assay testing when required.
• Ensure strict compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and security procedures.
• Utilise laboratory equipment and time efficiently to minimise costs.
• Participate in training and continuous development activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet business requirements.
• Primarily laboratory-based role with occasional visits to production areas.
