Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Shift Laboratory Analyst to join our Greys, West Thurrock team. You will perform sample preparation and extraction for petroleum product analysis, following strict method guidelines, on a two-day 7am–7pm and two-day 7pm–7am shift rota.

You will handle testing to ASTM/IP methods, calibrations and QC sample testing, and generate release reports. This role requires teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to ISO 17025 standards.

Responsibilities

• Test a variety of petroleum products to ASTM and IP test methods.
• Prepare and test sample blends as requested by customers.
• Prepare and test quality control samples, standardise reagents and calibrate equipment.
• Verify samples to specifications and communicate results.
• Make entries in records and systems as required.
• Generate reports for release to customers.
• Receive and log samples for testing on required systems.
• Maintain documentation to meet ISO 17025.
