Job summary

Marex is seeking a detail‑oriented Agricultural Commodities Trading Assistant in London to support the day‑to‑day running of the desk. You will contribute to reporting, position and risk monitoring, and desk administration while developing a deep understanding of agricultural markets and trading techniques.

The role offers a pathway toward proprietary trading responsibilities, depending on performance, approvals, and business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel capability with data manipulation and modelling.
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets and trading, with evidence of self-driven learning.
• Experience or exposure to regulated environments and risk/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Run daily/weekly desk reports and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor positions, P&L, and risk analytics; escalate discrepancies.
• Support trade reconciliation and desk controls, providing position and market data.
• Monitor agricultural markets, fundamentals, and macro drivers affecting trading strategies.
• Develop market analysis and ideas; collaborate on trading development.
