Job summary

Marex Group plc is seeking an ambitious Agricultural Trading Assistant to join the Agricultural Commodities desk. The role supports day-to-day desk operations, reporting, position and risk monitoring, model oversight and desk administration while building a detailed understanding of agricultural markets and trading techniques.

The position provides a solid foundation for progression toward proprietary trading responsibilities, subject to performance and approvals.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel capability with data manipulation and analytical models.
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets and trading.
• Experience in regulated environment and risk/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Run daily, weekly and ad-hoc desk reports and maintain accurate desk records.
• Monitor positions, P&L, risk scans and models; identify unusual movements.
• Support reconciliation, desk controls and preparation of market information.
• Monitor agricultural markets and fundamental drivers; seasonality and weather.
• Support market analysis and trading development across futures, options and spreads.
• Develop understanding of trading strategies and market analysis as capability grows.
• Use Bloomberg, ICE and Excel daily; apply Python and AI tools to automate processes.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to Marex's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.
