Job summary

Confidential, based in Thame, Oxfordshire, is seeking a Trading Assistant / Junior Trader Support to join its team. You will provide analytical and operational support to traders and develop knowledge in commodity markets and commercial activities.

The role offers exposure to agricultural commodities and opportunities within a global agribusiness environment, with room to grow in trading, market analysis, and operations.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience using Tableau or other data visualization tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in trading, commodities, or a commercial environment.
• Knowledge of agricultural markets, supply chains, or agribusiness operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of commodity and currency positions.
• Produce position and audit reports to support trading decisions and market monitoring.
• Enter, maintain, and amend contracts within internal systems.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly profit and loss reports.
• Compile industry statistics, market intelligence, and analytical reports for internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Trading team.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers, brokers, and other commercial stakeholders as required.
