Job summary

Oil Brokerage Ltd. invites you to join a newly established agricultural commodities desk backed by a global energy broker. You will work with colleagues who bring deep expertise across grains, oilseeds and niche commodities to shape the desk's direction.

You’ll actively broker physical bulk commodities and provide derivatives execution support, building a growing client book while staying ahead of market developments and industry events.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in brokerage or trading, ideally covering agricultural commodities.
• Knowledge of cash/futures relationships, basis and cargo flows for hedging.
• Fluency in English; a second language is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Broker physical bulk commodities while providing derivatives execution support across futures and options.
• Apply physical market knowledge to add value for clients hedging physical flows.
• Execute futures and complex options strategies across agricultural commodity markets.
• Contribute to business development with new and existing clients.
• Distribute market intelligence and analytics to key clients using in-house data.
• Collaborate with the team on new markets, products and client relationships.
• Stay current on market movements and developments in agricultural derivatives and physical trades.
• Represent the company at major agricultural commodity events and conferences.

An opportunity to join a newly established agricultural commodities desk backed by a global energy broker. You’ll join a team with freedom to shape the desk’s direction, working alongside colleagues with deep specialist expertise across grains, oilseeds and niche commodities.

Responsibilities:

• Actively broker physical bulk commodities whilst providing derivatives execution support across CBOT and Euronext (MATIF) futures and options markets.
• Draw on physical market knowledge to add value for clients hedging physical flows, with an understanding of cash/futures relationships, basis and cargo flows.
• Execute futures and complex options strategies with precision across exchange-traded agricultural commodity markets.
• Contribute to ongoing business development with new and existing clients
• Leverage in-house commodity and shipping data to prepare and distribute market intelligence and analytical content to key clients.
• Collaborate with the existing team on new markets, products and client relationships.
• Stay current on market movements and structural developments across agricultural derivatives and physical trade flows.
• Represent the company at major agricultural commodity events and conferences.

Experience:

• 3–5+ years in brokerage or trading, ideally covering agricultural commodities
• Relevant qualifications and regulatory approvals.
• Working knowledge of physical grain and oilseed markets, with a basic. understanding of procurement, cargo flows, cash basis and hedging practices.
• A modest, transferable book of clients.
• Appetite to build out a broader book on a growing, well-backed specialist desk.
• Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the agricultural markets and a drive for self-improvement.
• Fluency in English; a second language is preferable.
