Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Non-Conformance Design Engineer to join a team delivering solutions on high-profile aerospace and defence programmes. You will investigate and assess non-conformances on gas turbine engine components, collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Stress, and Materials teams to develop robust design dispositions.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience; aerospace/defence experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, product lifecycles, technical drawings, and engineering assessments.
• Proactive team player with excellent communication skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines while complying with export control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and investigate manufacturing and service-related non-conformances, ensuring compliance with design intent, safety, airworthiness, and quality requirements.
• Develop and substantiate engineering dispositions through technical evaluations, calculations, and collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Stress, and Materials teams.
• Support the delivery of practical, cost-effective solutions while building expertise in gas turbine engine design, manufacturing processes, materials, and repair technologies.
