Job summary

Capgemini in Bristol seeks a Non‑Conformance Design Engineer to assess and resolve non‑conformances within the Capgemini Engineering Design team. You will develop dispositions, generate reports, and work with specialists to ensure design requirements and manufacturing best practices are met.

The role demands collaboration across disciplines, adherence to procedures, and strong technical reporting. Security clearance may be required as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of aero or marine engine systems and components.
• Familiarity with non-conformance, concession, producibility, and engineering approval processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities across disciplines such as Stress and Materials Engineering.

This position is for a Non‑Conformance Design Engineer within the Capgemini Engineering Design Engineering team, focusing on the assessment and resolution of engineering non‑conformances. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing technically sound dispositions, generating engineering reports, and collaborating closely with specialists to ensure adherence to design requirements, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering non‑conformances through Concessions, Deviation Permits, and Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs), providing clear technical justifications and recommendations for disposition.
• Create technical documentation, including assessment reports, while reviewing engineering drawings and conducting calculations such as tolerancing and bolt checks.
• Work collaboratively with non‑conformance specialists and apply Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles to develop practical and compliant engineering solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in the design of aero or marine engine systems and components, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with non‑conformance, concession, producibility, and engineering approval processes, with the capability to deliver precise solutions within tight client deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in collaborating across various specialist disciplines such as Stress and Materials Engineering.
