The Lensbury is looking for a qualified Junior Activities Assistant to create a safe, welcoming and engaging setting for our youngest members. You will supervise play, support children’s wellbeing and uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards.

With prior experience in a similar role and Paediatric First Aid, you will communicate warmly with parents and colleagues, maintain a clean environment, and be prepared for emergency procedures. DBS checks will be arranged.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Genuine passion for creating great experiences for children and families.
• Friendly, calm and approachable, with quick, effective action.
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete).
• Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
• Willing to undergo a DBS check (arranged prior to starting).

About us

The Role

As a qualified Junior Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and engaging setting for our youngest members. This includes supervising play, supporting children’s wellbeing, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic administrative tasks such as registers and equipment checks.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with safeguarding and Data Protection regulations.
• Report any welfare concerns to the Junior Activities Coordinator or the designated Child Welfare Officer.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and club policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.
• Be fully trained and prepared for emergency and evacuation procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with Lensbury standards.
• Communicate professionally and warmly with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
• Carry out additional duties as required
