Job summary

Abacus Consulting in Ampthill is seeking a junior Accounts Clerk to be trained to an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. The role is 100% on site with parking; access to a car is required.

You will process supplier invoices, match to purchase orders, handle supplier credits and reconcile statements. A graduate in Accounting/Finance or someone starting AAT studies is preferred, with strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Junior entry level role for accounting, graduate or AAT student.
• Must have access to a car for commuting.
• On-site role with parking available.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and match to purchase orders.
• Oversee Accounts Payable inbox and supplier queries.
• Process supplier credits and reconcile supplier statements.
• Raise purchase orders and maintain supplier records.
• Support the Finance Director in service delivery and reporting.
• Prepare weekly aged creditors report.
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required by the business.
