Job summary

Astute Recruitment in the NG17 area is seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy finance team. You will process a high volume of supplier invoices, code and post invoices, and maintain the purchase ledger.

The role is ideal for someone with prior accounts payable or purchase ledger experience who can hit the ground running and contribute to month-end activities, with strong attention to detail and good communication with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger roles.
• Ability to handle high volumes of supplier invoices with accuracy.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Coding, matching and posting invoices onto the accounting system.
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and supplier accounts.
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Responding to supplier queries and resolving invoice-related issues.
• Supporting the finance team with month-end activities and outstanding invoice queries.
• Ensuring invoices are processed within agreed timescales.
• Providing general accounts administration and supporting the wider finance function as required.
