Job summary

J.P. Morgan seeks an Executive Director for Rates Trading in London. You will leverage strong mathematics, statistics, and quantitative skills to provide liquidity to institutional clients across US interest rate markets, while managing risk from interest rate exposures. This is a client-facing role within Global Markets.

You will interact with large clients, execute trades, and contribute to pricing decisions, risk management, and research initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Extensive experience in financial markets, trading, sales, or portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of Interest Rate Markets, including securities and derivatives.
• Programming skills in Python or similar language.
• Collaborative ability with Front Office and Support Partners.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
• Desire to learn and grow continually.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with institutional clients and make markets in the desk's product range.
• Manage risk, liquidity, and trading book aspects including pricing and hedging decisions.
• Track supply and demand from clients and evaluate real-time market developments.
• Conduct research and analysis to improve risk management and returns.
• Collaborate with Technology, QR, Control Functions and other stakeholders to improve infrastructure.
• Support Sales to drive client relationships and trading activity.
• Provide market color and ad hoc analysis to support franchise efforts.
