Job summary

RNN Group's North Notts College, Worksop is seeking a Joinery Skills Tutor to join the Work-Based Learning team. This is a full-time permanent role delivering on-site and off-site training to apprentices, turning enthusiastic learners into elite carpenters and joiners.

You will mentor, assess, and coach learners, develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours that employers crave, and track progress with e-portfolios, while meeting the college's standards and working hours.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• A1/V1 Assessor Award and Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or drive to work toward them with our support!).
• People skills: ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging sessions that bridge the gap between the workshop and the site.
• Develop Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) that modern employers crave.
• Conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments, ensuring apprentices meet professional standards.
• Track progress through e-portfolios, keeping students and employers on the path to success.
