RNN Group is seeking an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor – Joinery at the Rotherham Campus with travel across South Yorkshire. The role delivers sessions bridging workshop and site, assessing apprentices, and shaping the next generation of carpenters and joiners.

Salary ranges from £33,487 to £38,487 with benefits and full-time hours. Reporting to the Work-Based Learning Team Leader, you’ll develop KSBs aligned to industry needs, maintain e-portfolios, and collaborate with employers to ensure high

Qualifications

• Joinery/woodworking experience is required.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• A1/V1 Assessor Award and Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work toward them with support)

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging sessions bridging the workshop and the site.
• Use industry insight to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) that modern employers crave.
• Conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments to ensure apprentices meet high professional standards.

Salary: £33,487 (unqualified teacher/assessor) to £38,487 (qualified teacher/assessor) a year with benefits

What You’ll Bring to the Bench

• Industry Roots: Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
• Trade Credentials: An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• The Right Tools: An A1/V1 Assessor Award and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or the drive to work toward them with our support!).
• People Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.
