Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a dedicated Apprenticeship Skills Tutor Joinery to lead engaging sessions at our Rotherham Campus with some offsite travel within South Yorkshire. The role focuses on mentoring apprentices, developing KSBs, and ensuring high standards in skills delivery.

You will bridge workshop and site learning, track progress via e-portfolios and support learners towards elite trades. Attractive salary and benefits accompany a pivotal industry role.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
• An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
• An A1/V1 Assessor Award and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or the drive to work toward them with our support!).
• Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging sessions that bridge the gap between the workshop and the site.
• Use industry insight to develop Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) that employers crave.
• Conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments to ensure high professional standards.
• Track progress through e-portfolios to keep students and employers on the path to success.

Location: Rotherham Campus, Rotherham (with offsite travel within South Yorkshire and surrounding areas)

Salary: £33,487 (unqualified teacher/assessor) to £38,487 (qualified teacher/assessor) a year with benefits
